The Khong & Jaafar Group was established in 1965 by Mr Khong Chia Soon and Encik Jaafar Wazir, both of whom have since retired. The Group comprises three private limited companies namely, Khong & Jaafar Sdn Bhd, Khong & Jaafar (Real Estate) Sdn Bhd and Khong & Jaafar (Corporate Services) Sdn Bhd and has a total staff strength of about 80.

The two main shareholders are the Managing Director, Elvin Fernandez (70%) and Rozina binti Shafiei (30%). The authorised paid up capital of the company is RM100,000 and the paid-up capital is RM80,000.

On account of our fairly long existence as a professional valuation firm, 45 years, our valuation reports are generally accepted by most banks and financial institutions.

Khong & Jaafar is also registered with the Ministry of Finance, the East Coast Economic Region (an economic development plan covering Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang and Mersing in Johor, representing 51 percent of Peninsular Malaysia’s land mass) and Iskandar Investment Berhad, an investment holding company which promotes and coordinates the development to support Iskandar Malaysia.

Khong & Jaafar Sdn Bhd is licensed to carry out its property related work throughout Malaysia, which it does. We have also carried out work in the region for various corporate entities, for example valuations in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Canada, China and India.

We carry out, on a continuous basis, research into the state of the property market. In doing this research we look at broad trends in the economy as it affects the Malaysian property market, the various sectors of the market area and undertake financial models to understand and explain the market.

The Company is covered by professional indemnity to the tune of RM5 million with Etiqa Insurance.
